My career (17 years) has been in Business and Program/Project Management,
start-up firms and new development work, and business troubleshooting.
Overview
I now have over 17 years of business management, development and troubleshooting experience in a wide variety of industries. I've worked in, creatively developed, and managed areas from manufacturing to fulfillment, from purchasing to administration, from inside sales / customer service to audit-level accounting, RegD securities and more. My current work is in web media program management in all aspects. Current and (excellent) past references upon request.
Management and Leadership Skills
Since 1985 I have been innovating for fast-growing start-ups and changing corporate structures. New program development, hiring, training, and re-integration of reassigned employees. Presentations to potential investor groups, boards of directors, executive staff and trade shows. Project management from executive directorship to line-supervision of a diverse array of employees and contractors. Marketing concept planning, documentation improvement, and in general (as my business card used to say), "Organizing Your Organization".
Communicator & Customer Liaison
Professional facilitation and moderation, including Master of Ceremony duties, for conferences and meetings, trade show events, etc. Commonly have been assigned as personal liaison to an employer's largest customers and trainer for major distributors. Instructor duties for group and individual training. For the last seven years my communications have been geared toward managing "on-line" real-time meetings, and moderating threaded discussion boards and email listserver groups.
Design and Programming Skills
Creative corporate logos and letterhead, newsletters and other desktop publishing, and custom website graphic design skills using PhotoShop and Illustrator. My webwork most commonly involves coding and managing code development for SQL-Server database (also experienced with Oracle, Access, Paradox, and others), ColdFusion dynamic middleware (mildly familiar with ASP and PHP as well), and of course HTML, CSS and javascript. I also implement a good deal of JAVA and PERL, although they are not languages I program in. My primary talent is the ability to move into a new situation, resolve existing problems, create new ideas and improvements, and if necessary create software to allow administration or function of company areas to be more efficient, better organized, etc.
